The IATA is LIS (Humberto Delgado), not Porto (OPO) and not Faro (FAO). Selecting Lisbon does not pull the Porto Ryanair graph. LIS is well served by Ryanair, easyJet, Vueling, and TAP shorts into BCN, CDG, AMS, and DUB — enough density to survive hub bias — but it is a geographic extreme. If the search is already in Greece, adding Lisbon is a continent-wide backtrack the greedy search should refuse.
How long to stay
Three nights: Alfama/Baixa, Belém, one Sintra day — then hop east. Lisbon is a natural first stay from Ireland/UK/France (arrive west, travel east) or a last stay before an Atlantic-origin home. It is a bad middle stop between Rome and Vienna.
